Raku and African Coiling Workshops: Raku: May 22nd. Juliet Rose Gallery and Studio. 191 Reimers Road,Monson MA.

  • Raku Workshop:$90 per person. Students$80.00. (Potluck Lunch)
  • Participants may bring their own bisqued pieces to use during the workshop. Bisqued pieces will be offered for sale for those who do not have their own pieces.
  • Pieces will undergo a Raku pit firing.

  • African Coiling Workshop : $150.00 per person. Students $120.00. (Potluck Lunch)

Our first workshop was a great success. The Raku kiln was opened at 1800 degrees.

The results are hidden at first..

 

Then, after the pieces were cleaned, we were impressed with the final result.

Ceramics Classes:

Kids Handbuilding Pottery Classes: Rolling Registration.

*4week sessions each lasting 2hrs.

*Includes 10lbs of clay,2 firings(one bisque & 1 glaze) 7-10 different glazes to choose from.

We offer ongoing classes at our studio in many pottery making techniques; including wheel throwing, African coiling, slab building,and surface design techniques such as; sgraffito, glazing, and Raku.

Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm - 9pm

 

Eight week classes include:

  • 2 1/2 hours of class time
  • 25 pounds of clay
  • Firing and glazes

Cost: $190

  

Sixteen week sessions include:

  • 3 hours of studio time
  • 2 1/2 hours of class time
  • 50 pounds of clay
  • Firing and glazes

Cost: $370

Class scheduling is flexible: we offer both day and evening classes. Gift certificates are available.
